Summer has barely begun and we have to say we have already lost count of how many barbeques we’ve had between us, but none of them compare to a traditional Argentine Asado no matter how good the host is!
To recreate your own Asado at home, ditch the sausages and burgers and opt for huge cuts of beef and ribs. Often whole lamb and pork is cooked over an open fire too. Serve with simple side salads and wash down with plenty of wine with fresh fruit ready for desert.
We recommend visiting your local butcher for good quality meat. Seasoning should be kept to a minimum as the Argentines believe that the flavour should come from the meat, so just ask your butcher and they should be able to guide you on the best cuts to buy.
For the wine, it obviously has to be a Malbec. The Huffington post did a great article on the best Argentine wines which you can read here.
For a truly authentic feast, complete your Asado by heading over to the groomstand.com where you purchase your own personalized grill accessories here. (Great gifts for any man), then put on your polo belt and host the best Argentine party that nobody will forget in a hurry.
